Meet FraukE Eicker
If you came to The Oxford Well in person, you would probably notice two things quite quickly: there is space to breathe here, and you are welcome as you are.
I’m Frauke, a Spiritual Director, MindfulnessNow Practitioner and Coach and what shapes my work most deeply is a lifelong curiosity about people, God, and the quiet places where the two meet. I’ve always been drawn to the inner life, to how meaning is formed, how faith grows, and how we learn to live well.
Creativity has been one of my earliest languages. As a child, I made my own gifts because it felt true that what is handmade carries care and presence. I still believe that. Creating engages our whole selves: body, imagination, attention, and spirit. For me, that is prayerful ground.
St Augustine’s words have accompanied me for many years:
“Our hearts are restless until they find their rest in God.”
Coming to faith in a God who is both deeply approachable and profoundly mysterious has been the most life-giving journey of my life. It opened my eyes to a richness of meaning and presence that continues to shape how I live and listen.
People often tell me that they experience calm, safety, and a sense of being truly heard in the spaces I hold. That matters to me. I see life as an ongoing invitation to notice the small as well as the big signs of God within the life we experience.
Whether through retreat,
pilgrimage, or one to one
conversation, I would love to
walk alongside you as we explore
where the sacred is offering you
life, hope, and renewed perspective.
Some fun facts…
I nearly trained as a carpenter - and later built the log cabin in my garden
I spent two months living alone in a hermitage in Germany (which taught me a lot about silence - and myself)
I enjoy a good crime novel or TV series
I grew up in one of Europe’s largest disability inclusive community (The Bethel Foundation) which deeply shaped my outlook on life
I choose a counter-cultural rhythm of life that is slower, more grounded, and intentionally less hurried
